Ubiquitous God (365 Days of Daring Faith – DAY 23)

Psalm 139:7 (NLT)
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

You are never alone. This isn’t the tagline to a horror movie or the assurance of an insurance or security company. This is the comfort and the promise of God Almighty. Wherever we go, He is there. Whatever we do, He is there. Nothing and nobody ceases to be under His watchful eye.

We should take comfort in the ubiquitous presence of God. He is everywhere at all times and in all places. He not only sits in Heaven and looks upon earth; He fills them both with His presence. He is not limited by time or space. He is aware of our activities and our thoughts.

It is foolish to think we exist in this world alone. Even though we cannot see Him, God is holding the world in His hands, ordering our steps, and guiding our lives. God is a spirit and at our very core, so are we. Even when we feel friendless and lonely, we’re not alone. God is there. If we reach out to Him, He will reach back.

When we cease trying to escape God, we find that He is the One we really needed all along. He was for us when we weren’t even for ourselves. He is with us when everyone else has gone home. Nothing at all can stop God from being with you. God goes with us, lives within us, and surrounds us with His protection and grace.

“Always, everywhere God is present, and always He seeks to discover Himself to each one.”
