Zephaniah 3:5 (NLT)
But the Lord is still there in the city, and he does no wrong. Day by day he hands down justice, and he does not fail.
People fail. Things fail. Projects fail. But God never fails. Since He never fails, you can always depend on His grace, mercy, faithfulness, and love. He is always on time, always available when we need Him, and is still with us when we think we can handle it on our own. Nothing shocks or surprises God. Even when we can’t feel Him and even though we can’t see Him, He is always there. Our faith makes it so. He faithfully watches over us, guides us, leads us, and helps us in our time of trouble.
Here are three reasons God never fails:
God never fails because He loves us. God loves us with an unconditional love. He loves us so much that it is not in his nature to give up on us. Even when we do wrong and we fail Him, He remains steadfast. His love remains sure. Unfortunately, some people love based upon externalities, but God loves based upon nothing at all. He never fails us because He loves us more than anything we can imagine.
God never fails because He is always there when we need Him. No matter how bad of a situation we may get into, God is always there. When we cry, God cries. When we hurt, God hurts. When we rejoice, God rejoices. He never leaves us hanging, stuck, in a bind, or between a rock and a hard place. we may leave Him from time to time, but He never leaves us.
God never fails because He wants us to depend on Him for everything. God is dependable. He is the only constant. God never fails because He wants us to trust Him, depend on Him, and believe in Him. God would not be God if we could not do those things. We can’t live this life on our own. That is why we need Him to help us and He does, if we would only ask.
“Nothing takes God by surprise. He knows the future and can therefore guide us through its trackless ways.”
